origin story
18 years ago, 5 good pals and their 3 rogue kids pointed south in a 31’ RV for 14 days. We hit every roadside taco stand, drank salty margs & ice-cold beers, laughed with locals, skipped showers for days and ran naked on the beach (well, the kids did). And we’re still friends. Days were simple, free-spirited, sun-soaked. No watches, no worries. By the time we crossed the border in Tijuana with salt on our lips and soulshine in our eyes, the best fish tacos & margaritas were still out there... at that moment the vision of el jet’s cantina + sky outpost was born. Coming in 2022, bringing Baja to you.

renovating vintage caravans
The Kickstarter campaign funding helped renovate and customize 11 vintage silver bullets into dreamy vacation pods for nightly/weekly/monthly 4-season rentals. Artisans Ryan Smith, Tim Navin + Jenny James are the craftsmen/artisans making it happen. Each custom reno will sleep 2-4+ and feature french doors opening onto a shady deck with epic views, queen bed, fold-out couch/bed, mini-split climate control, library lounge + coffee/laptop station. 'The Betty' is being built-out right now in Riverside, next to the property. We have 11 caravans (5 Spartans, 4 Airstreams, 1 Silver Streak, 1 Airfloat)... your contribution helped bring these 11 badass beauties to life!
